New scientific studies have discovered a microorganism called mycobacterium vaccae found in soil that is proven to activate the release of brain serotonin, improving wellbeing and acting as an antidepressant. At Camp Aftermath, we appreciate how gardening can reduce stress and improve moods and that is why it can be found in our curriculum.
