National Philanthropy Day

By November 14, 2017April 15th, 2024No Comments

Philanthropy is an act of love and giving, meant to help others. On National Philanthropy Day (NPD), which falls on every November 15, the world celebrates acts of kindness, volunteerism and generosity of spirit. NPD has two aims: to actualize philanthropy through positive actions, and to recognize the change that philanthropy can bring to individuals and communities around the world.

At Camp Aftermath, we strive to use philanthropy as not only a positive force for social change, but as a positive force to change the lives of military veterans and first responders who suffer from PTSD. Camp Aftermath’s efforts in translating this vision into action recently shifted into high gear when it launched its GoFundMe campaign to fund the first rotation of Camp Aftermath participants in Costa Rica in 2018. On National Philanthropy Day, we invite all those who share the ideal of changing lives through philanthropy to support our GoFundMe campaign in order to help our brave service men and women find a renewed sense of purpose.
