Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Camp Aftermath

With the holiday season upon us, everyone is kicking into the festive spirit. At Aftermath Association, we have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for.

Throughout the year, we were continuously fired up with new energy when enthusiastic members and volunteers joined and brought new perspectives, ideas, and resources to the joint effort of preparing for and establishing Camp Aftermath in Costa Rica for PTSD sufferers. Now, with the festive season upon us, we feel like a family:we rejoice in our successes and are thrilled at the thought of the successes to come.

In the 2018, we hope to accomplish a lot. We are looking forward to reaching our goal of raising $10,000 for our first rotation (Roto 0) of participants at Camp Aftermath. Please visit our GoFundMe page to contribute. We are looking forward to a group visit in early February of Aftermath Association members and volunteers (at their own expense) to Costa Rica to ensure everything is in place for Roto 0. And we are looking forward to sending our first participants on Roto 0 to Costa Rica to provide definitive proof that our novel approach of using philanthropy to help dispel the traumatic experiences that haunt PTSD sufferers is, in fact, what experts say it will be: effective and life changing, and something that will replace PTSD-causing “negative anchors” with positive ones.

And it is in this holiday spirit of joy, reunion and bonding that we wish our members, volunteers, future participants, and their families and loved ones a joyous Holiday Season and a very Happy New Year!
